To make the gravy, heat the sunflower oil in the frying pan and gently fry the onion over a low heat for five minutes, or until softened, stirring regularly. Serve meatballs and gravy over mashed potatoes and garnish with a generous dollop of lingonberry preserves.

  7. When it's bubbling add the meatballs and allow to simmer, stirring occasionally until the meatballs are done and gravy is thickened.
  8. Rice the potatoes add in the butter, milk, and cheese. Add in the spices and parsley, mix by folding the potatoes until the mixture is incorporated well.
  9. Add the sour cream and fold well. Add to the plate with a crater in the middle.
