This recipe is in response to a discussion on the boards about Bisquick. This is a recipe for a substitution that works great. The normal formula is equal amounts of all three, but if you like the cloves and nutmeg less predominant, use the lesser. Allow the flavours to mix for at least two months before using, shaking at least once a week.
  6. Substitute the amount needed in a recipe for one of these.
  7. There's two options with this substitute. You can either blend and use as it is or thicken the substitute by simmering it down on a medium heat. (Makes about a cup). Store in an airtight container in fridge and use with 4 days or a neat little trick is filling ice cube bags with the mixture and freezing, each cube is roughly 2 tablespoons.
  8. Mix the ingredients well together. And replace the amount you need in your recipe.
